These terms apply to guided motorcycle tours offered by mapomoto. They are meant to keep the process clear and fair for both sides.
1. Enquiry & offer
After your enquiry, you will receive a written offer by email (tour type, date(s), meeting point, scope and price). A booking becomes binding only after written confirmation.
2. What is included / not included
- Included: guided tour, planning and briefing; optional riding tips during the tour (on request).
- Not included: accommodation (multi-day tours), fuel, meals, tolls/vignettes, and any personal expenses.
- Motorcycle rental: can be arranged on request; rental contracts are concluded with the rental partner.
3. Pace & safety
The riding pace is agreed in advance (relaxed / fluent / sporty). Safety has priority at all times. The guide may adjust the route, timing or pace due to weather, traffic, road conditions or group safety.
4. Requirements
Participants must hold a valid driving licence for the motorcycle class used, be fit to ride and comply with traffic laws. Proper protective gear is required (helmet, gloves, boots, protective clothing).
5. Payment
Payment terms are specified in the offer. Unless agreed otherwise:
- Day tours: full payment before the tour date.
- Multi-day tours: deposit to reserve the date, remaining balance before the first tour day.
6. Cancellation & no-show
Cancellation must be made in writing (email). Unless agreed otherwise, the following applies:
- Up to 14 days before the tour: free of charge (payments are refunded).
- 13–7 days before the tour: 50% of the tour price.
- 6 days or less / no-show: 100% of the tour price.
If a replacement participant is provided in time and under the same conditions, cancellation costs may be reduced.
7. Weather & force majeure
In case of bad weather, the route can be adapted. If conditions make the tour unsafe, a reschedule is possible. If a tour must be cancelled due to circumstances beyond control (e.g., road closures, extreme weather), any prepaid amounts for the tour itself will be credited or refunded. Additional costs (e.g., accommodation, travel) remain the participant’s responsibility.
8. Liability
Participation is at your own risk. Each participant is responsible for riding within their abilities and for their motorcycle in roadworthy condition. Liability is limited to intent and gross negligence, as far as legally permissible.
