Terms & Conditions

For all trainings booked with mapomoto.

1. Subject Matter

The subject of this agreement is your participation in the mapomoto training of your choice. The specific content, duration, and venue are set out in the booking confirmation. The specific scope of services is determined by the relevant offer/booking page and the booking confirmation. Travel, accommodation, catering, fuel, and other personal expenses are only included in the booked services if expressly stated as included in the respective offer.

2. Booking & Payment

Bookings are made via the mapomoto website. Your place is reserved once payment has been successfully completed via the online payment method offered at checkout. Payment processing is handled by Stripe as the payment service provider.

Places are allocated on a first-paid, first-served basis. Participation is only possible after successful payment. Cash payment on site is not available.

After your payment has been received, you will receive a confirmation email with all relevant information, including arrival details. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.

3. Cancellation

Up to and including 60 days before the training: Free cancellation is possible. The full participation fee already paid will be refunded.

Less than 60 days before the training: In principle, no refund of the participation fee is available.

Non-attendance or failure to participate: Does not in principle entitle you to a refund.

If a participant is unable to begin or continue the training for reasons within their own sphere – in particular due to illness, injury, a technical defect on their own motorcycle, or for personal reasons – there is generally no entitlement to a partial refund of the participation fee. Statutory rights remain unaffected.

Cancellation must be made by email to the official mapomoto contact address. The date of receipt by mapomoto is decisive for the deadline.

4. Right of Withdrawal

Under § 18(1)(10) of the Austrian Distance and Off-Premises Selling Act (FAGG), there is no statutory right of withdrawal for services related to leisure activities where a specific date or period has been agreed in the contract.

The voluntary cancellation option under Section 3 does not constitute a legal obligation and does not affect the absence of a right of withdrawal.

5. Cancellation by mapomoto

mapomoto reserves the right to cancel a training, in particular if conditions do not allow safe execution or for organisational reasons.

In the event of cancellation by mapomoto, the participant may choose between:

  • a replacement date,
  • a credit note for a future mapomoto training, or
  • a refund of the participation fee already paid.

In addition, mapomoto is entitled to reasonably change, interrupt or adapt the intended schedule, individual exercises, riding times or programme items for safety reasons or due to external circumstances – in particular weather, track or site conditions, accidents, official requirements or comparable circumstances. Such reasonable changes in which the essential character of the booked training is preserved do not constitute a cancellation of the training.

Statutory claims remain unaffected.

6. Consequential Costs

To the extent permitted by law, cancellation by mapomoto does not automatically give rise to claims for reimbursement of travel, accommodation, catering, or other individual expenses.

7. Transfer of Booking

Transfer of your booking to another suitable person is possible subject to prior approval by mapomoto.

8. External Events

Events marked as external events are not trainings directly conducted by mapomoto. Booking takes place with the respective external organiser via their website or booking system. You will leave mapomoto.com in the process.

The contract for participation is concluded with the respective organiser. Their booking, payment, cancellation, and refund conditions apply. mapomoto does not process this booking and is not responsible for the organiser's process.

9. Participation Requirements

Participants must:

  • be at least 18 years of age,
  • be authorised to use the motorcycle being ridden,
  • ride a motorcycle in safe technical condition,
  • wear full protective equipment (full-face helmet, gloves, motorcycle boots, back protector, leather or textile suit),
  • attend the mandatory rider briefing before the first session,
  • ensure that all required participation/liability documents provided in advance are fully completed and signed before the training begins.

For trainings taking place on public roads, a valid motorcycle licence appropriate for the motorcycle being used, as well as the registration and insurance of the vehicle legally required for participation in public road traffic, are also required.

Participation is not possible without the required safety equipment, briefing, and signed documents.

10. Safety

Binding safety rules, track/site regulations and organisational safety requirements must be complied with.

mapomoto reserves the right to refuse participation or exclude a participant from further training if the motorcycle being used has significant or safety-relevant technical defects, the participant is recognisably unfit to ride, is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, endangers themselves or others through their behaviour, or fails to comply with binding safety or track rules despite being requested to do so.

If the exclusion results from a circumstance attributable to the participant, there is generally no entitlement to a refund of the participation fee.

Accidents, crashes and safety-relevant technical problems must be reported to mapomoto or an instructor without delay.

11. Riding Instruction

The instructors provide riding guidance and recommendations, demonstrate exercises, and share their assessments based on their professional experience. The participant decides independently whether and how to implement riding guidance or techniques and acts at their own responsibility.

12. Liability

Participation takes place voluntarily and at your own responsibility. Motorcycle riding, in particular on a racetrack, involves typical risks. Participants are themselves responsible for their own riding behaviour and for ensuring appropriate insurance cover.

The liability of mapomoto is governed by applicable statutory law.

13. Photography & Media

Photos and videos may be taken during individual trainings. Any consent for publication or promotional use will be obtained separately where applicable.
